Why did you become a lawyer?
I always wanted to study law at University and the natural next step was then to try and qualify as a Solicitor. It’s a great profession, and working especially as a litigator, every day is not the same.
Your proudest moment in your legal career?
Getting qualified initially.
I am always proud when getting great results for clients.
What piece of wisdom would you pass on?
- Work hard and play hard;
- Be humble;
- Respect your elders;
- Don’t play too long on your playstation!
What is your unfulfilled ambition?
To score half a century at cricket. I am still playing cricket on Sunday’s so there is still hope but not many years left for me.
Persons who most influenced your life?
My parents who have always encouraged and helped me immensely throughout.
What do people get wrong about you?
That I am really a Solicitor!
Pet hates?
People being late and rudeness.
Favourite book?
If classified as a book – Panini Football Sticker Albums growing up as a kid, especially when my team Coventry City were in the old First Division.
Favourite movie?
Gladiator
TV or Radio?
TV – hooked on the football fly on the wall documentaries at the moment.
Favourite song?
The Stone Roses “Fools Gold”
Greatest invention ever?
The television set. The evenings would otherwise be so boring!
Biggest regret?
Not having the opportunity to travel more and explore other countries and their cultures.
The person from history you would most like to have a pie and pint with?
Bruce Lee
How would you spend your fantasy 24 hours, with no travel restrictions?
Anywhere warm, with a nice beach, great food and great evening entertainment.
